The Marketing Liaison Officer is to support the Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) Sales Team with marketing / sales events.  The Marketing Liaison Officer is to arrange sales and marketing events as identified by the FTTH Sales Manager.

1.   Responsibilities:

The Marketing Liaison Officer is responsible for assisting the FTTH Sales Manager with the following:

  • Marketing flyer drops and order forms door to door at free standing houses and inside complexes as arranged.
  • Set up Marketing Activations with gazebos and banners at estates and street corners, main intersections for marketing, creating interest and brand awareness.
  • Complete daily / weekly reports with number of sales, flyers distributed, areas and streets marketed to.
  • Position MetroFibre for prime opportunities by selling the organisation’s capabilities and solutions to the target market.
  • Gather detailed client and end user information to make a competent organisational approach to potential deals.
  • Plan marketing and sales activities (e.g. open days, info sessions, and marketing days) according to MetroFibre’s strategy and planning requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a well-coordinated internal relationship with key decision makers within the client and MetroFibre.
  • Understand sales targets and provide a plan to achieve and exceed agreed to targets.
  • Ensure that the order pipeline is extensive enough to ensure that targets are achieved.

 

2.   Qualifications Required:

Relevant post matric or degree qualification would be recommendable.

 

3.   Work Experience:

      Period

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar environment.

 

4.   Skills Required:

  • Marketing and Sales experience preferable
  • Must be a self-motivated person with the ability to drive new opportunity creation and, position MetroFibre as the preferred solution provider.
  • Confident, tactful and persuasive.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Deadline driven.
  • Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines
  • Well-organized and a customer-orientated approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
