MetroFibre Networx achieves Level 2 BBBEE Rating
MetroFibre Networx has achieved a Level Two (2) BBBEE rating for 2021/2022 under the ICT Sector Charter targets.
The improvement from BBBEE level 4 in (2020) to level 2 is testament to MetroFibre’s commitment to transformation, and is underpinned by its investment into its people, local communities and enterprise development.
“We see transformation as an ongoing journey and not as an end point, and hence building an organisation that subscribes to all the tenets of diversity and inclusion remains a strategic pillar of our business. We remain fully committed to continuing in our socio-economic investments in South Africa, as well as enterprise development programmes. For all our business customers, it also means they can claim 125% of their procurement spend with us, which in turn supports their transformation objectives,” explains Jan-Jan Bezuidenhout, Deputy CEO of MetroFibre Networx.
“In achieving our transformation objectives, we are committed to driving our agenda around aspects of enterprise development and education. As MetroFibre grows and acquires the critical mass on our network, it makes absolute sense that we reinvest back into our communities and play our part to ensure that no one gets left behind – not at school, not at work, and not at home. It is only by bringing together the best of sustainable economic growth, developing quality, diverse and inclusive workforces and transformed supply chains that we’re able to fundamentally reshape South Africa’s socio-economic outcomes for the better,” concludes Bezuidenhout.
