MetroFibre was established in 2010 as an open access network service provider to provide carrier class ethernet services over our own fibre infrastructure. MetroFibre is a member of the Digital Council Africa, a founding member of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) in South Africa and we own and operate a carrier grade MEF-certified open access network, ensuring quality, reliable fibre connectivity. We are proud to have open access partnerships with leading Internet Service Providers (ISPs) on our network. This benefits customers by allowing them to choose a service provider and package that suits their needs.

During the installation of fibre, MetroFibre can offer a no-obligation installation of a Termination Point (TP) into the resident’s home at no cost to the client, regardless of whether they choose to subscribe to the service at that time or not.
